Being able to laugh at myself and with others is very important...lol. At the end of Adriana & Eric's wedding we decided to jump in the photobooth (by Funky Monkey Photobooth) and have a little fun. Makes me giggle everytime I look at it!

I have Kimberly Brooke in there, who shot the wedding with me, and the talented TSquared Productions (love them!).

Happy Wednesday!

This is a hard post to write. For a long time, I wasn't ready to talk about it, but we have new happiness that has been brought into our house that has made this post a little easier. The day before we moved to Austin, we lost our Babygirl. To some you may say she was just an animal, but Babygirl was so much more for us. She loved us unconditionally, comforted us when we were sad and kept us company every day and night. She was so special to us and what continues to keep me comfort was that we loved her to our fullest and she had a beautiful life. She will forever have a special soft spot in our heart for her big, blue eyes and loving spirit.

All of this brings me to the happiness (I promise!), which is that for my birthday (remember, the terrible 3-0) my husband gave me not one, but two kitties! We met with a foster through APA (Austin Pets Alive, the most amazing no kill pet shelter!) with our eye on one special kitty and her brother wooed us as well. They are ridiculously adorable - full of love, cuteness, extremely loud purr boxes and have been keeping me company in our new place in Austin.

We had our first photoshoot the other day and I couldn't resist showing you some of my favorites. It turns out they love the click of the camera and love to show everyone how adorable they are!

Meet the new additions to our family - Inma & Koji. You know I won't be able to resist sharing more pictures of them in the future!

So the big 3-0 has come and passed. Well, I guess it has really come and stayed. :)  I am now officially in my third decade of life. I had a beautiful day with my husband in our new city. Lazying around, treating myself to a massage and then doing things a little bit different this year with breakfast for dinner. My hubby took me to a pancake supper for charity. Pancakes for dinner = awesomeness. More on what the hubby gave me soon...

Here's to an exciting new decade!!!!  And thank you everyone for your love and bday wishes - you really know how to make a girl feel special...and lessen the pain of the 3-0.  :)

Caye Caulker was like another world. Like we were shipwrecked on an island that just happened to have a bar situated on top of a crumbling boardwalk. Although I may have had some minor travel issues during out stay here (terrible sunburn, queasy stomach and attacked by sand fleas), it was still beautiful and relaxing. My favorite spot was the hammock on our pier. And I may or may not have read a Danielle Steel novel that I found at our hotel...

I thought I better blog something REALLY good after being quiet for so long. How about a little travel? Why not?! For Labor Day this year, Chris and I traveled with our good friends, Jorge and Brian, and went to their favorite place - Belize. I had never been before, but the tropical, relaxed atmosphere sounded like just what I needed. :)

The journey started by us landing in Belize City. It is not the most beautiful place, but still intrigued me with its golden light and people that had no problem talking to us - offering to do my hair in braids (even white girls can do it apparently) or telling us in depth about the political situation in the country (that was our cab driver). We didn't have much time here, but I still walked around and snapped a few images. Then we were off on a boat to Caye Caulker...
