Sigh. I departed the plane back in the States a couple of days ago...against my will. Just kidding. We had such a good time in South Africa - tons of animals, good wine, excellent company and over a thousand pictures for me to look through. I promise to post more pictures as I continue to go through them and pick out my favorites. I will also be working hard to get back on track with my emails, so if there is a delay in my response time, know that I am getting there!
For now, here is a sneak peek at an animal shot. We all went crazy when these gorgeous zebras were nearby. Their stripes are like our fingerprints, one is never the same.

Oh, did I also mention that African sunsets set your soul on fire? Here was one while we were on safari...

Oh, I made it. FINALLY. I have been working so hard the past few months, all with this day in my mind. Chris and I are flying off to a far away place and never coming back. Whoops! Did I say that out loud? I KID. We will be back before you guys know it. ;)
I will have no access to email or phone. If you need me for any reason, I promise to respond as soon as we return. I will be back to work on Wednesday, December 2nd.
And for a little visual temptation. I will be sitting in this bar on one of the most beautiful beaches in the world, enjoying tempting sundowners (alcoholic beverages enjoyed while the sun sets). Sigh... heaven!

Have you ever heard of Jesh du Rox? Or read his blog? He's a brilliant photographer who is known for his life-changing workshops and his kick a** photoshop actions. I have never been to one of his workshops, but it could be future goal of mine...
I love to read his blog for inspiration. I see his work as emotional, slightly moody and a true form of art. He is also a beautiful writer, writing things that sometimes bring me to tears - for their truthfulness, rawness and they always cause me to pause and think. Yesterday, I read a blogpost he wrote recently and I wanted to share it with you.
Little inspiration for Monday morning... click here to read.

I have been dragging my feet on this one...creating a facebook fan page. Many of my friends are doing it and they SWEAR it is a practical and smart business decision. But just the thought of me having "fans" makes me think people will think...well, I don't know what they will think. Well, tonight I took the plunge. Not because I feel I am deserving of fans, but because it would be cool to have a spot in the facebook world that is dedicated to my photography, to my work and to the people that enjoy it!
So I am offering to you, asking you, BEGGING you to become my fan on facebook. You don't want me to look bad, do you?! :)

Life has a soundtrack, right? When you are walking down the street, a song begins to play in your head. When you hear a song blaring from a nearby car and you suddenly have a little spring in your step? I like to believe that music enriches our lives and there is ALWAYS a song for how you are feeling right at this moment.
In the spirit of sharing, I wanted to share my life soundtrack with you at this moment. What do these songs say about me?? Check them out and drop me a note if there is someone new I need to investigate!

* I buy all of my music from Amazon.com - it's cheap, easy and comes in mp3s!
** Most of these artists were introduced to me by my talented cousin!!
