Hummingbirds are a symbol of peace, love and happiness. They are actually native to North America and a sacred symbol in the Native American culture, symbolizing "timeless joy and the Nectar of Life."
All of that to say, they make me smile. With their rapid, delicate wings they soar through the air - so strong, so determined. Determined for the world to be happy. I could be corny right now and say that my goal is to also bring happiness to the world through capturing it in images, but I will spare you. :) I just want to make you smile, just like me.
And in honor of hummingbirds, I wanted to show you my new iphone case...
It was designed by yours truly and created through Uncommon who seriously makes the sickest iphone cases EVER.

I ran off to Dallas for a wonderful weekend of family - my own family and also capturing a new addition to the Wolovits family (photos to come soon!).
I also challenged myself to capture my weekend in a different format. I often get stuck in a rut of only taking pictures when I am carrying my professional camera and because it is so huge, it is impossible to carry it around all the time. Hence, I miss some great moments in my life! As Chase Jarvis always says, "The best camera is the one that is with you." I put that to the test this weekend with my iphone and my favorite photo app ShakeItPhoto.
Enjoy some of my favorites - starring my cousin's adorable son, Moses, and my super cute cousin Ann! The middle picture of me and Moses was taken by my talented cousin Virginia...isn't he heaven??!!

That's right, I've been gifted!! From the Lovelies blog competition and my lovely second place - I won the cutest, most delicious little pouch. It was really hard to choose between the amazing "grab bag" of awards, but I finally decided on an adorable little bicycle pouch created by the talented Kate Durkin. Her shop is wonderful - filled with whimsical prints, pouches, artwork and pillows to fill your house and purse with love. I have my eye on the giraffe pillow next...
Just wanted to grab a couple cute shots of her packaging (like Christmas!) and the adorable pouch. It was intended to be an iphone or ipod case, but I have decided it is the perfect place to hold my abnormally long business cards. I'm not afraid to be different!
