The final part of Jay and Nan's celebration is here. The Saturday events carried on after the Thai ceremony, which was followed by the Indian ceremony. When I say their day was full of events, I meant it! After the ceremony, the couple relaxed for a few hours and then began their final reception. I love how Jay and Nan celebrated both traditions of their families and then came together having everyone celebrate together. You can tell that Jay and Nan's friends and families truly care about such an amazing couple and wanted their day to be as special as possible...
Jay & Nan - congratulations!!!!

The party continues!! Saturday was filled with LOTS of activity. So much so, that I can't fit it all into one blogpost. I don't want to overwhelm you and I want to keep you wanting more. :)

I will start with the beginning of Saturday, which was the Thai water ceremony. I was so excited to photograph this unique ceremony since it was my first experience with a Thai wedding! Each family and friend came up to the stage and poured a bit of water on the couple's hands, giving them best wishes for a successful marriage.

Kimberly:
Gorgeous!!! Love the use of light and how you create the feeling that you are present at the event! Perfect!

Jay and Nan are like heaven when you meet them. So sweet and so caring, it is easy to become friends. When they look at each other, you can tell they love each other like crazy and would do anything for the other.

After doing to the photography for Jay's cousin Jessica just two weeks before, I was excited to see the family and friends again for Jay and Nan's celebrations. The weekend started off at the Maharajah restaurant with beautiful mehndi, amazing food and lots of dancing....enjoy some of my favorites!

nan & jay:

I could not have been a luckier photographer on 10.10.10. This past Sunday, I was a part of Katie and Mike's beautiful vineyard wedding. It was perfect weather, a gorgeous couple and filled with family and friends. Right after the wedding, I was able to sneak away with the couple to the actual vineyard and take a couple of pictures of just the two of them. There are so many good ones it was hard to choose just one for the sneak peek, but here is one of my favorites... more coming soon!

Tarah Hemeon:

Jessica and Donald's big day was full of activity. For most people, all of the activity could have been stressful, but with Jessica and Donald's easy going personalities, they were the picture of calm. They seemed to glide through the day with a smile never leaving their face. It was so much fun to ease through the day and capture such a beautiful event unfold. The night ended perfectly with some pretty crazy dance moves on the dance floor!
It was also fun to see some of the people I grew up with. Jessica and Donald both grew up in Alief (aka the 'lief) and it was fun to see some familiar faces! It it crazy how big Houston can be, but also even crazier how small it can be.
Congratulations to the new Mr. and Mrs. Donald John!
