As you may remember from their sneak peek, Allyson and Brian are the gorgeous couple that were married on March 5th at Memorial Drive United Methodist Church with a reception following at Ouisie's Table.  Ouisie's Table is one of my favorite places to photograph! It is just so unique and full of lots of beautiful nooks and crannies. And it helped to be photographing such an amazing couple. Love how when the look at each other, it's like the rest of the world doesn't exist.

Enjoy some of my favorites!  To see the full slideshow of images, click here.

I just received news today from Brian that his Granny passed away yesterday. My heart goes out to their family and it touched me that Brian expressed how much these images mean to them. From the images, from her smile - you can tell she was a truly special woman. My thoughts will be with you guys.  All my love, julie

Oh, Julie, I cannot begin to find the words to tell you how very much these pictures of mother mean to us. She was so very proud of Brian and Allyson and had such an incredible time at their wedding . . . as you have captured so beautifully for us to treasure always. Thank you from the bottom of my heart, Lee Ellen

The anticipation has been killing me!  I've been dying to show the images from my sister Cynthia's gorgeous South African wedding. When our family arrived in Cape Town for the week, we really had no idea what was going to take place on Saturday, February 26th. This is very unusual for my family to not be involved in every detail, so we decided to go with the flow and cherish each second. We were surprised and excited by every detail that Cynthia lovingly planned.  The theme was a celebration of where the bride and groom came from - Cynthia's Texas roots and Chris' South African roots. The day was filled with a ceremony under the perfect tree, specialty Pimms cocktails served on haystacks and dinner served under a pergola strung with twinkle lights.  The night was truly magical.

To my gorgeous and courageous older sister, Cynthia, I love you.  Here's to many more celebrations in the future.  Thank you for giving me the opportunity to capture this one.

Today I had a case of the Mondays...and it wasn't even Monday. After an adventurous trip home, we landed last night back in the States. As you can imagine, it was a little bittersweet. The beautiful mountains and ocean have now been replaced by concrete interstates as my view out of the car window...I know, I sound bitter. But have no fear, I was able to work on my sister's wedding pictures to cheer me up!

Our main reason for this trip to South Africa was for my sister Cynthia's (lovingly referred to as "Cinzia" or "Cyn") South African wedding. It was hands down the most magical night I have had the opportunity to be a part of and especially to photograph. Maybe I am a little biased, but as she said her vows to her Chris, as we ate an amazing dinner under twinkle lights or as we square danced (yes, you read that right) in the barn late into the night...every moment was perfect. But after all that, I know this sounds cheesy, my favorite memory of the night is my sister's smile. She calls it her "kool-aid" smile, but for everyone who sees her, it is pure happiness radiating from her.

More pictures to come soon, but had to share one of them looking so darn cute together...
