I knew I was going to love being a part of Janice and Michael's wedding from the first moment I laid eyes on them. Janice has the most beautiful smile that literally lights up her entire face. And the way Michael looks at Janice...forget about it! It could bring a woman to tears (and believe me, it did). The ceremony and reception both took place at the stunning Courtyard on St. James. I can NOT say enough wonderful things about having your ceremony and reception at the same location. It is so relaxing and lets the entire day unfold without a hitch. I love it!

When Janice was walking down the aisle, tears were streaming down her face. I can't even put into words how emotional that moment was. You could just feel how much they both loved and cherished each other.

I have been really excited to blog these images. Not only because Shelly & Mark hold a special place in my heart, but because it was a beautiful place, a beautiful night and a couple full of love and laughter. I'm sure I have mentioned this before, but Shelly has a contagious, open and loving laugh. It filled the room the night of their wedding.

I slightly outdid myself with the number of images I am posting...(no, REALLY) but I just couldn't help it! I hope you will agree it was worth it...LOVE this first one.

Where to start with our resident Michael Jackson for the night...he not only knew all the words, he knew ALL the dance moves. He was TRULY an entertainer. :)

don & susan sneak peek.

I talk a lot about magic when I talk to my brides and grooms for the first time. I think your wedding day is so magical and I strive to capture that feeling in my images of your day.

Yesterday was a marathon wedding for Don & Susan. The wedding ceremony was at 2pm and there was a short break before we started the real fun at the reception. More pictures to come of their beautiful day...but here is a sneak peek of one of my favorite images so far...pure magic.

my shelly & mark

I have taken many pictures of Shelly & Mark, they have been there since the beginning of my professional journey into photography. I took pictures of their beautiful daughter Ava when she was only a few weeks old, I took pictures of their happy family for the holidays and I took pictures of just the two of them that you may remember from earlier in my blog (you can see them here). They are just a beautiful couple with beautiful hearts...

Their wedding was a special day. After much planning, anticipation and challenges...their day was finally here. The wedding took place last night at their church, Meadow Crest Church, and the reception followed at the Sundance Bar and Grill. I even got to steal the couple away for some pictures along the water. More pictures are to come, but here is a sneak peek at one of my favorites. I think this image shows the raw and beautiful love they have for each other...

forever after with serene & matt

I was so excited to be a part of Serene & Matt's wedding day on Saturday, April 25th at the Czech Center in Houston. Although, there were a few dark clouds looming outside, Serene & Matt could not be bothered. It was their day. They were surrounded by friends and family and they were SO calm! It was a beautiful day.

Isn't Serene gorgeous?

After the ceremony, we had some fun with the wedding party. This was their fierce look.

They decided to play a little game with Serene...called guess which one is your husband. I would be petrified if it was me. It was no problem though...she knew who Matt was!

They have been living it up in Thailand for the past couple weeks - congrats again Serene & Matt!
