Matt and I go wayyyy back. I first met him when I moved to Houston and bartended at a little pizza joint called Candelaris. Fast forward a couple years and I met beautiful April at the Bridal Extravaganza Show in January of this year at the George R Brown. April had no idea that Matt and I knew eachother when she went home and told him she had found a photographer...and the rest is history! The moment I met the two of them together, I told Matt that he was a lucky man. They are adorable together - laughing, even dancing at times (which you will see later), basically just enjoying life. I say the number one thing you need in a marriage is to be able to laugh together. Matt and April definitely have this trait down pat.

When I first met with the pair, Donald and I kept thinking we knew each other from somewhere...hmmm...turns out we went to school together at Holub Middle School in Alief (aka The 'Lief). It is so funny to see someone from your past and especially great when they are going through such an important part of their life. I'm excited they chose me to capture their wedding day!

We got together a couple of weeks ago to do engagement images, here are some of my favorites!

rachael & jordan - finding love.

Rachael and Jordan are an amazing couple. You can feel the love between the two of them - with Jordan's calm and loving brown eyes and Rachael's bubbly laugh, they are a perfect match. We had so much fun on their engagement shoot, they actually showed me some cool spots in Kingwood, Texas. There were tons of trees and flowers - my dream locations! Can't wait to shoot their wedding in May!

Meet Megan and Ted.

Megan and Ted are amazing. Such a relaxed couple - full of life and love. They have been together for many years, but Ted still looks at Megan with such admiration and care. You can just FEEL the love between them that is so effortless, so perfect.

We were not as lucky with our weather on this Saturday, you'll see halfway through rain started POURING. I threw a blanket around them and as I began to run to the car, I had to make them stop for a few shots - they were just so cute! Then, it was off to a nearby coffee shop. :)
