I'm proud and excited to share that my work has been featured on two beautiful blogs lately - Alan and Siophain's DC wedding was shared on Wedding Chicks and the adorable pink and grey Sweet Sorrella ballet table was shared on Amy Atlas' Sweet Designs blog.  Whoo hoo!

I know I have been strangely quiet over here, exciting things are brewing and I have been working hard and visiting tropical islands in paradise. I promise to share more soon, but just wanted to share a magical moment with you from our trip. We went to the island of Caye Caulker in Belize for a long labor day weekend and spent lots of time in the water. Boats were everywhere and what else do you do on a boat, but use it as your personal jungle gym? Once these kids knew I was taking their picture, they jumped again and again. Magical.

Happy Tuesday.

Awesome shot! I know that feeling of closing the afternoon out with the sunset at The Split while enjoy a cold Belikin at The Lazy Lizard. A mutual friend said we missed each other by a few weeks.

My Mom sent me this picture the other night... she has been going through old photos of us as kids and found this.  My Dad captured me receiving my first camera for Christmas - priceless!!  This is where it all began...

I had been looking forward to Kim and Kendall's wedding all year. They are SUCH a sweet couple - fun and loving. Kim put lots of love and care into each detail of her wedding and it showed with how wonderful the day unfolded.  Here are some of my favorites from their day!  Grab a cup of coffee, because there are a lot!

amazing vendors:
Wedding Coordinator - Ashleigh Scanlan of Details, Details
Wedding Location - St. Joseph's Church
Reception Location - Tremont Hotel
Pies - Oh La La
Reverend James Turner - Weddings Performed
Transportation - Original Trolly Company
Makeup - Sarah Tucker

Being a photographer has allowed me to capture and be there for my family in a whole new way. I am now the official slideshow creator and photographer at every event.  :)  I love it though, because it allows me to capture special moments for the people I love the most.

A couple weeks ago, I was able to be there for my Dad's 60th birthday. I can't believe (especially because he looks no where near) that he is 60! My Dad is one of the most loving fathers and has always loved, hugged and done anything for his three daughters. I'm especially lucky because he is the reason why I love photography!

For anyone who is interested or who knows my family, check out the slideshow from the big night here.  My Mom surprised him and hired the Ken Mondshine band for him to sing with. My Dad sounds like Sinatra, not kidding!

xo
