Since they have been together since middle school, some of the typical traditions were thrown to the wind, such as not seeing each other until the ceremony, and I was so excited to be there to document it! To capture the intimate moment when they finally see each other all put together for the day they have been planning for so long...
The talented Kimberly Brooke shot this wedding with me at the gorgeous Tuscany Villa.

The ceremony was timed perfectly with the sun beginning to set behind them. It was incredible to watch. Then, the true party began!

They threw snowflakes at the end, isn't that perfect for December??
Thank you, Anna and Josh, for allowing us to be a part of your beautiful day, congratulations!!
I have been starting to take a pen to paper lately to write down my goals for 2010. If you don't physically write down goals every year, you need to start. There is something about that physical act, seeing it written down in ink that forces me to make them come true. For me, my goals surround being true to who I am, continuing to grow as a photographer in any way possible and doing whatever I do that day to my fullest. I'm holding these goals close to my chest and keeping them hot on my mind. I will make them come true this year and maybe (just MAYBE) I will surpass them all. A girl can dream, right?
What are your goals for 2010?
And because a post is always better with a picture, this is where all the action happens for me...
good for you Julie! I'm a strong believer in writing your goals down. I completed a vision board on New Years Eve; I can't wait to see what this year holds for us. All the best and good luck! :-)
(01.12.10)you're so awesome julie! i still have my red and black notebook we bought at target in california. it holds all my notes and all my goals. it's getting a little rough around the edges but one day we're going to read everything we plan to accomplish and enjoy a bottle of fine wine because we did it!

There were so many pictures to choose from, I have barely scratched the surface. Here are some of my favorites - some new, some you may have seen before. Enjoy!

Makes me smile :)
Yaay! We made the list:-) I've become a Julie blog follower! AND anytime I talk to someone whose getting married I give your name and Margaret. Ya'll are the best:-D
(01.08.10)Seriously, these pictures make me want to get married all over again and have you as my photographer. Pretty amazing, I must say!

Here is the gorgeous Ashlie. I keep hoping more brides will want to lay in wild flowers after seeing this image... :)

I loved taking pictures of Daniell and Kaily - they are just so vibrant and full of life.

This picture just makes me stop every time...so precious! I snapped this while Elizabeth was under the tree looking for the best grapefruit.
This is Elizabeth too and it makes me want to throw my cares to the wind and be a kid again. No kidding. Anyone want to join me?
Just makes me laugh every time. Can you tell laughter is my favorite emotion to convey in an image? I love to either make the viewer laugh or have the subjects laughing. I feel that joy is the greatest gift to being human and I love to capture that.

Little Wyatt...

This one is a new one. I helped my sister-in-law Maggie take some product shots for her new etsy store. She makes THE most amazing and comfy cowls. Check out her store here. What could have been a boring shot, just came to life. With the golden light and Maggie's red hair, I just loved the way this one came out.

This is my newly engaged sister Erica and her fiance Evan. I took this in Africa while we were all on vacation. I love the way it captures them being so relaxed and just being themselves.

These are also new. My sister Cindy was home on vacation and she asked me to take a new headshot. We wanted it to be different and fresh, yet still professional enough for the serious work that she does. These two won't make the corporate cut, but I still love them.

To get you in the partying spirit, here are some funny shots of Kim and I while we were shooting Anna and Josh's wedding on Sunday. They had these super cool Ray Ban-esque glasses for their guests. It made for a good party, as you can tell. I know I have to have a lot of guts to post this picture of me. I want to tell myself to "put the glasses DOWN!"

Wow! The shot at the ceremony is fantastic! And the first one after the 'break the glass' pics... is my FAVE! The light is magnifique!
(01.14.10)absolutely FAN-freakin-TASTIC Julie! These should be published!
(01.14.10)You're awesome! Thanks for having me along for the ride!
(01.17.10)You did a beautiful job capturing the spirit of Anna and Josh's wedding! I love reading your blog and looking at your work!
