I am so excited to show you the images from Beth & Carl's wedding on September 19, 2010. I knew the moment I met Beth that I would love to be a part of their big day. They are such a relaxed and loving couple and their wedding was a celebration of the two of them.

The Sunday started off at the Hotel Derek where the two were getting ready and opted to do a First Look to see each other before the ceremony. Seeing each other is not for everyone, but for Beth and Carl, it made perfect sense. They both were dealing with some butterflies until the moment they saw each other. They broke out in huge smiles and it was like nothing else that day mattered.

The ceremony and reception took place at the beautiful and intimate Ouisie's Table. The party then continued down the street at Anvil. The sign outside says "bar and refuge" and it truly was. Delicious blueberry cocktails and even more friends joined the couple to end the day on a perfect note of happiness.

To see even more images, check out their slideshow here. And a big thank you to Ashleigh of Green Lily Events for making sure their day was a smooth success and to Kimberly Brooke who shot the wedding with me!

Congrats to Beth & Carl!

In an effort to be less serious, I wanted to post something to make you smile on this lovely Friday. Life is too short to be serious all the time, right?

Here is a pic I snapped with my iphone one day (processed with the ShakeIt photo app) while I furiously shopped with my cousin Ann. Girls will be girls and we sometimes get wrapped up in clothes, trying on clothes and buying clothes. I looked over at my wonderful, patient hubby and there he was, relaxing in Madewell with a book in the guy's "living" area. Not exactly sure why this picture makes me laugh, but it does.

That's it for today - good day!

The final part of Jay and Nan's celebration is here. The Saturday events carried on after the Thai ceremony, which was followed by the Indian ceremony. When I say their day was full of events, I meant it! After the ceremony, the couple relaxed for a few hours and then began their final reception. I love how Jay and Nan celebrated both traditions of their families and then came together having everyone celebrate together. You can tell that Jay and Nan's friends and families truly care about such an amazing couple and wanted their day to be as special as possible...

Jay & Nan - congratulations!!!!

The party continues!! Saturday was filled with LOTS of activity. So much so, that I can't fit it all into one blogpost. I don't want to overwhelm you and I want to keep you wanting more. :)

I will start with the beginning of Saturday, which was the Thai water ceremony. I was so excited to photograph this unique ceremony since it was my first experience with a Thai wedding! Each family and friend came up to the stage and poured a bit of water on the couple's hands, giving them best wishes for a successful marriage.
