Hanging out with kids always helps to bring me back to whats important in life. Little Boden smiled when he discovered the perfect rock. Such a small thing in life, which I would normally just walk past without noticing, and kids make you stop, take a deep breath and notice.

To celebrate Boden's first year of life we gave him an extra special treat - a chocolate cupcake - and let him go to town. No wet wipes needed until he had smeared chocolate all over his clothes, his face and the floor around him. It was adorable.

Enjoy some of my favorites!

As you may remember from their sneak peek, Allyson and Brian are the gorgeous couple that were married on March 5th at Memorial Drive United Methodist Church with a reception following at Ouisie's Table.  Ouisie's Table is one of my favorite places to photograph! It is just so unique and full of lots of beautiful nooks and crannies. And it helped to be photographing such an amazing couple. Love how when the look at each other, it's like the rest of the world doesn't exist.

I just received news today from Brian that his Granny passed away yesterday. My heart goes out to their family and it touched me that Brian expressed how much these images mean to them. From the images, from her smile - you can tell she was a truly special woman. My thoughts will be with you guys.  All my love, julie

Lee Ellen Athey:

Oh, Julie, I cannot begin to find the words to tell you how very much these pictures of mother mean to us. She was so very proud of Brian and Allyson and had such an incredible time at their wedding . . . as you have captured so beautifully for us to treasure always. Thank you from the bottom of my heart, Lee Ellen

Srujana and Shafiq truly fascinated me. Their lives are filled will travel and adventure - Srujana grew up in Saudi Arabia and Australia and Shafiq spent several years abroad helping other people less fortunate. They are beautiful on the inside and out and I loved capturing them together. They laughed nervously in the beginning of the session (as everyone does!), but I love the moments when they would look at each other and nothing else mattered.

Meet Srujana and Shafiq...

Who can resist adorable twins? Not me. And Jenson and Remy were no different. In their adorable pink and blue blankets, I was able to capture this new, beautiful family and had so much fun doing it.

Tis the season! I was able to catch up with Abbey a couple weekends back for her senior portraits. Just to give you a little history, I used to babysit Abbey many, many moons ago. Seeing the beautiful woman she has now become makes me stop and look in the mirror and say, "REALLY?! When did I get so old?" Sigh.

Abbey was gorgeous during our session, as we started out roaming around the park and then getting a little sassy in pink. So much fun!  And who doesn't love a good hair toss photo?! Abbey rocked it.  :D
